About Me

A little bit about myself:

Im a technologist with over 12 years of being an IT professional. I’ve had the opportunity to work in several industries: Education, Telecomm, Software, Steel, Financial, and Retail.

Since 8 years ago my career path has stabilized in the Retail vertical, so yes I kind of consider myself an expert in this particular area. I like working with Solution architecture, Software Development Life Cycle, Analytics, and gadgets, lots of them!!!!

Its a fact that being born, raised and lived in the northern states of Mexico have been crucial in my cultural and educational  background. Being at the same time so far away (geographically and culturally) from the country’s center of everything (Mexico city) and at the same time so close to the U.S., my mentality is more akin to the “gringo” way of thinking and doing things. On the other hand and to add complexity Im also a fervent protector of Mexico’s cultural legacy, and that’s something I urge my children to do also.

Speaking of family, I Currently live in the Monterrey metro area in the beautiful northeast of México with my wife and 3 kids. We like to stroll around in the region and discover interesting stuff, like flea markets, shops, eating places (not always restaurants or sitting places)

I like fiddling around with gadgets and if they are about home automation the better! I also have a big interest in astronomy (insert twilight zone theme here); racing, cars that is; gardening and reading; Im also a DIYer, so on weekeens you can find me at home destroying repairing stuff that… ahem, needed repair.

Well, that wraps me in general, but if you like to know a little bit more of me in depth, you can follow me through te following:
